A bit about Catie

After completing her first rally in June 2016, Catie has been on an incredible journey into rallying. In her first year in the sport, she decided to compete at the highest level in Europe in the European Rally Championship. After success in Ypres rally and rally Liepaja, Catie won the Ladies European Rally Championship - making her the first Briton to win a European Rally title in 49 years!

Catie grew up on a farm in the South of England, where her parents ran a motorsport entertainment company. Catie began driving around the farm as soon as her feet could reach the pedals, and was introduced to motorsport by her dad who did some rallying too. Spending her childhood on quadbikes, Catie started grass auto testing aged 14 in order to learn car control for driving on the roads - her potential was realised and she decided to have a go at rallying. At 17, her first time in any rally car was a test in a 208 R2, in Morzine, on the French Alps. From there, it all fell into place and Catie knew this was where she wanted to be. After last years victory, at 19 still, this year Catie is focusing on reaching the top end of the U27 juniors and increasing her pace and experience levels for a competitive assault on the U27 category in 2018.
